Luukku 23: Joululaulu, joka kaikkien pitäisi kuunnella

Joulu on jo ovella. Kaiken kiireen ja melun keskellä meidän kaikkien olisi hyvä välillä pysähtyä. Ja kuunnella esimerkiksi seuraava laulu. Se on kuuluisan ihmisoikeuksien puolestapuhujan, John Lennonin oivaltava ja upea teos. Laulu, joka pistää ajattelemaan omia askareitaan, sanojaan ja tekojaan tässä kulutuskeskeisessä maailmassa.
   Tuo biisi on jo Lennonin itse aikoinaan levyttämä teos, mutta radiosoittoon se on päässyt tiheämmin vasta viimeisen parin vuoden aikana - ja tietysti juuri näin joulun alla. Lennon on ollut jo kappaleen julkaisuhetkellä niin viisas ja jollain tavalla pystynyt näkemään tulevaan - ettei tämä välttämättä paremmaksi muutu, ellei aleta vetämään kaikki maailman ihmiset yhtä köyttä pallomme hyväksi. 
   Tämä vain on niin surumielisen kaunis ja oivaltava. Ajattelemaan laittava. Biisi, jonka itse löysin vasta viime vuonna veljeni kitaransoittoa kuunnellessa. Ja nyt halusin jakaa sen teidän kanssanne. Tässä, olkaa hyvät:
